Dawah

✩ Let us make Dua together!!! ✩ “Oh Allah, You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything). Guide us to the Straight Way. The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger, nor of those who went astray.” [1:5,6,7] – Ameen
This is my way: I call on Allah with sure knowledge, I and whoever followeth me Glory be to Allah! I am not of the Idolators. Sura 12:108
Tawheed or true belief in the Oneness of Allaah can only be done by testifying truly that there is no god to worship but Allaah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah. Three things should be achieved: 1)Giving up shirk (association of others with Allaah) in all its forms, major, minor and concealed 2) Giving up bid’ah (innovation) in all its forms 3) Giving up sin in all its forms.

If you doing good, then know that insha’Allah you will see the fruits of your hard-work. Indeed, the reward of good is good!

“Is there any reward for good other than good? Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?” [55:60-61]

Just remember that doing good entails doing it correctly (i.e. with sincerity and according to the Quran and Sunnah)!

Many times when we deal with people, we become harsh if they don’t agree w/ us. However, we should mostly be gentle when we deal w/ our brothers & sisters:

“And by the Mercy of Allah, you dealt with them gently. And had you been severe and harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about you; so pass over (their faults), and ask …(Allah’s) Forgiveness for them; and consult them in the affairs” [3:159]

Tawakkul is the concept of putting one’s trust in Allah. So next time you come upon an endeavor, prepare for it (i.e tie your camel), have trust in Allah (tawakkul), and know that everything will work out for the best, insha’Allah:

“If Allah should aid you, no one can overcome you; but if He should forsake you, who is there that can ai…d you after Him? And upon Allah let the believers rely” [3:160]

Do your non-Muslim colleagues know about Islam? Do you tell them what Islam is really about? Do they see Islam in your awesome manners? Don’t allow your non-Muslim colleagues to argue on the Day of Judgment ‘but my Muslim classmate never told me!’ Indeed we are told:

“Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction,… and argue with them in a way that is best” [16:125]

If you work in business, make sure not to short-change anyone for if you agree to a deal, fulfill your side of the bargain. After all, is a few dollars/quid/rupees really worth it?

“And give full measure when you measure, and weigh with an even balance. That is the best [way] and best in result.” (17:35)

Humility is an important part of who we are. It entails everything we do from the way we interact with people, the way we talk, the way we think, and so forth. Ask yourself, how do I even walk on this earth? Where is my humility?

“And do not walk upon the earth exultantly. Indeed, you will never tear the earth [apart], and you will …never reach the mountains in height.” [17:37]

Much of our religion today has been preserved through our women scholars. Indeed, it is the hadith of Aisha that tell us about the personal life of the Prophet (S.A.W). For our sisters nowadays that are looking for women scholars with whom to study or listen to tafsir of the Quran of, may we suggest Dr. Farhat Hashmi. She has established women schools in Canada and Pakistan.

Time is indeed a precious commodity. After all, we only have a limited amount of time in this world. So ask yourself when your driving your car or sitting on the bus, how do you spend your precious time? Do you benefit from it by listening to lectures or Quran or doing dhikr? Or do you waste it by listening to music or gossip-talk-radio? Make it so that the time you spend in your commute benefits you, insha’Allah!
Do you sometimes strive for the deen but feel like your effort isn’t truly appreciated? Don’t worry, for your efforts are recorded & you will compensated accordingly!

“And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives. And that his effort is going to be seen, Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest reco…mpense” (51:39-41)

Keep striving, keep working hard, keep making an effort, iA!

The verses in the last status are actually 53:39-41 and not 51:39-41. JazakAllahkhair!
